Do I Need a Tooth Extraction?

What’s Involved in a Tooth Extraction?

Before we begin, we will numb the extraction site in order to keep you comfortable. You will probably feel pressure during the procedure but not pain. Once you are comfortable, your tooth will be removed. If your tooth is impacted, it may take a little bit longer as the dentist cuts away gum and bone tissue to reach the tooth. Hard-to-remove teeth may be extracted in pieces. If necessary, we may prescribe antibiotics and pain relievers. We will be sure to provide you with detailed post-operative care instructions. Be sure to follow these for the easiest recovery.
